New BootLoader

Now you can create /CONFIG.USB file and set your prefered options:
T Sets Turbo (Panasonic models)
V Toggle viddeo freq. 50/60Hz
N Load Nextor
F Load Konamiman's RookieDrive-FDD-ROM
R Read ROM.USB and load the pointed filename form /ROMS folder (just up to 32KB)

Example of CONFIG.USB content (quotes exluded):
"VTN"
-> changes the VDP freq, then enables Turbo, and Loads Nextor O.S

Use CONFIG.USB if you want to "force" the bootloader to load the driver you want, else the default behavior always loads Konamiman's RookieDrive-FDD-ROM for MSX1 machines(regardless of memory size), and Nextor for MSX2/2+ and Turbo-R

Note that when a USB FDD UFI is detected, the RookieDrive-FDD-ROM is automatically loaded.

Nextor kernel 2.1.4

• Nextor Kernel updated to 2.1.4, please update your system files also.
• Minor speed increase.
• Activity led activation on DiskROM read
• (not new, but interesting) Drive order interchange, when the file "FIRST.USB" exists in the USB's root folder the USB goes to drive A and DiskROM goes to drive B

Konamiman's RookieDrive-FDD-ROM (Now with working activity led)

This firmware includes the 2.11 (Normal-inverted-CTRL version) of the Konamiman's RookieDrive-FDD-ROM, this driver is mainly intended for the use of USB FDD, but also replaces and enhances the old RK720 virtual disk emulator functionality.

Now you can mount .DSK files without typing, just navigate the menu and select the file you whant to mount. Super easy, great thanks to Konamiman!!!!! you are the Boss!!!

Bye Bye Rookie Drive 720 drive

Now the virtual disk emulator resides on the Konamiman's RookieDrive-FDD-ROM, nice and easy of use. So the old "RD-720" is gone.

File content

RDFIRMWA.ROM contains:

• Rookie drive bootloader v2.0
• Rookie Drive Recovery v1.12
• REMOVED: Rookie Drive 720 driver
• Rookie Drive Nextor driver v2.2
• Rookie Drive FDD BIOS v2.11

Update procedure

Donwload and extract the .zip file in the root directory of USB pendrive, insert the USB pendrive in Rookie drive NX cartridge (Rookie drive needs to be inserted in your MSX), turn on your MSX computer, press CTL+R on boot, if Rookie drive recovey appears then press F1, confirm and the update will begin, once the process ends press ESC to reboot the computer.

    Press one of these keys:

    [F1] Install Firmware (RDFIRMWA.ROM)

     -Push [ESC] key to Reboot-
