Keep pressed these keys at boot:

[CTRL+R] Recovery Mode
[ESC] Bypass Rookie ROM
[D] Rookie Drive 720 Mode
[N] Rookie Drive Nextor Mode

[V] Toggle VDP Frequency
[T] Turn on TURBO CPU

Nextor Mode Keys:

[CTRL] One drive each Nextor kernel
[SHIFT] Prevent MSX-DOS kernels
[0] Disable Disk emulation (EMUFILE)
[1] Nextor: DOS1 Mode (Z80 mode)
[2] Nextor: DOS1 Mode (R800 mode)
[3] Nextor: Boot to the BASIC prompt
[4] (Turbo R only):Biggest RAM mapper

Rookie 720 Mode Keys:

[SHIFT] Disable more diskROMs
[CTRL] Prevent MSX-DOS kernels
[CTRL]&[1] Force Z80 Mode(Turbo R)

New tool for create USBMSX.INI from nextor.

ROOKDSK.COM v1.01 by Victor Martinez & Trunks
for DSK emulator of Rookie Drive
This program will create USBMSX.INI

$Usage: ROOKDSK filename [/R]
/R: Reset after create USBMSX.INI
For mutiDSKs, last character of extension is the number of the key(1-9)
Just select the DSK you want to start at boot.
Keep pressed (D) at boot to jump to DSK Emulation Mode.
In game, change disk with key (1-9)
(0) key will change to internal floppy Disk

Examples: ROOKDSK XAK.FD1 (and files are XAK.FD1,XAK.FD2,...)
 ROOKDSK FEEDBACK.DSK /R

Update procedure

Donwload and extract the .zip file in the root directory of USB pendrive, insert the USB pendrive in Rookie drive NX cartridge (Rookie drive needs to be inserted in your MSX), turn on your MSX computer, press CTL+R on boot, if Rookie drive recovey appears then press F1, confirm and the update will begin.

If the Rookie drive recovery doesn't appear, then let your Rookie drive to boot RD720 (floppy disk emulator driver) or force by pressing "7" (or "D" on newer versions) at boot time. Once the BASIC prompts, type the following command:

CALL INSERTDISK("RECOVERY.DSK")

And then

BLOAD"RDRECO.BIN",R

The Rookie drive recovery tool will apear.

    Rookie Drive Recovery v1.09
    USB device:  USB DISK 2.0
    Rookie Drive in slot: 1

    Press one of these keys:

    [F1] Install Firmware (RDFIRMWA.ROM)

    [F2] Install Disk-ROM (RDDISK.DSK)

    [F3] Erase Disk-ROM




     -Push [ESC] key to Reboot-

And then press F1 key to update the firmware, once the process ends press ESC to reboot the computer.
